Hi ALL! I want to take a moment to apologize for my absence and also to let you know what has been going on in my life. In August 2014, I started back to school and am now proud to say I graduated with my Master of Science in Nursing.
In my absence, I have not stopped being an avid advocate for Melanoma Awareness. You may have seen me on Twitter or at local functions to support awareness. I have also continued with my 3 month skin checks, have had biopsies and a few minor surgeries, but happy to report NO MELANOMAS.
Here are some photos of my skin checks and biopsies.
I am thankful to be living with Melanoma even with all of the emotional and physical scars that come along with it. Although, if I was educated as a teen and young adult about sun safety and tanning bed use…I would probably not have to live with this at all.
This is proof that Melanoma is not “just skin cancer” and you don’t just cut it out and it is gone.
This is a chronic and deadly disease. Educate Yourself and Practice Prevention!
